I too haul dirt into the house to start seedlings. This year in Oklahoma has been very strange weather wise, so I am really unsure when I will move my seedlings out. We had no real Autumn to speak of and winter has been like Fall. Everyone here warns me we are due for a significant snow storm late in the season. I really hope we get a nice hard freeze for a couple of days because otherwise we will have bugs galore this summer. How short is your growing season in Montana?

I was especially interested in the strawbale garden. Today I just prepared the dirt in flats so I coulg plant my seeds as I live in Montana with a short growing season. I always think, what a mess, as I carry my dirt inside but I love my gardens. I will read up more on the strawbale garden and thank you for the tip. Now I'm going to see if my extension office could offer master sewing. They do have master garden and canning classes.

Kat - The Elusive Farmer Barbie

Dear Karin, You sound like a very cool grandma! I'm not a grandma, but, as a country gal who raises chickens, I, too, want this Farmer Barbie....for myself, because she is too cool. I wish that I were seeing her in stores, but I might get her online, as she actually sort of has my skin, hair, and eye colors. She's also carrying....a CHICKEN! I think that it's really awesome that Mattel decided to give her a chicken, because I raised chickens in 4-H years ago, and I raise chickens now, too. I love Farmer Barbie's plaid shirt, her cool boots, and the fact that she has flat feet, although, since she's not very posable, I might re-body her when I find a matching Made to Move Barbie body. Of course, I have to get her online, first. :) Well, thank you for letting people know about this cool, new Barbie doll! It's about time that country girls were more accurately represented by Mattel! :) Sincerely, Kat

I make sure before I go to bed I fill the tank. If I don't have to get up for work or a scheduled appointment, I will set my alarm to remind me so I get up and check it. I bought a second tank/wick unit, so I just swap them out and go back to bed. I make sure I don't burn it in an air-tight space and of course I have a fire alarm/carbon monoxide alarm in my home as well. Thanks for stopping by. For example, you would need to have it loaded onto a chassis, hauled by an truck, loaded into and shipped via a ship, and then unloaded etc. in the other countries. Also, you should be aware of tariff's and taxes. Also, you will need a place to put your shipping container and may, in fact, end up paying rent. I think your idea sounds fantastic, but do your research so you don't get disappointed or face unexpected roadblocks. Thanks for listening!
