I do not know how stuff works here, but the army still can refuse all the unconstitutional orders. Not some random guys, all of them, en masse. But i have a very bad suspicion that most of them are enjoying this mess. And those "dedicated" people are pretty surprised that the face eating leopards are actually eating their faces. When we were fighting russians back in the 90ies, police, who was actually not Lithuanian but soviet, just crossed the line, at least those who were of Lithuanian origin, and joined the right side of the barricades. There was no Lithuanian army, but police disobeying russian commands made a lot of difference.

So Hegseth fired Army Chief of Staff Randy George, and some other top-ranking military. At issue was Hegseth's decision to block promotions to general of Black and female officer candidates. Gen. George pushed back on this, saying that the candidates in question were qualified and deserving of promotion. Word from the Trump cabinet was that DJT is uncomfortable with Black women and doesn't want to have to sit next to them or otherwise deal with them. Which needn't even be said because everyone knows that. I also suspect (and others suspect) that Gen. George may have voiced misgivings about plans for impending boots on the ground and war crimes against Iranian civilians (“bomb them back to the stone age”). I haven't noted links to reportage of this, you can read about it in the news sources of your choice. So yeah, fire the most experienced military commanders, and block the promotion of the most qualified officers, because what the military urgently needs in this war is to purge wokeness, own the libs, and be run by MAGA white guys. Fuck these assholes. I don't even know what else to say.
