This is pretty much the route I'm going. I made the mistake of trying to use Twitter as a facet of my oraganization system and it burned me pretty bad. The community aspect of FF is just so much more responsive (for me). Twitter is just a bunch of people talking at me. I rarely get replies there and the useful info I DO get is not unique to Twitter.

Just for the record, I definitely don't hate Twitter. I just don't plan to be very active there.
