I read a well laid out argument lately that said that Gaddafi supporters where behind the attack.

"And once more, we are seeing the old template playing out once more, as the Washington-led West empowers radical extremists to achieve short-term geopolitical ends -- oblivious, as always, to the long-term effects of unleashing violent forces you cannot possibly control."

I don't think they are oblivious. I think they are doing it on purpose.

"the moral impulse that animates it"

I don't believe there is any moral impulses behind their actions and decisions.

I think you have lost your collective minds to ask Madeline Albright to speak. And your idea of "progress" is a bit warped.

" I believe Bush pulled a few thousand troops out toward the end of his tenure, but, in fact, he specifically stated that he would withdrawal no more troops after that, leaving that decision up to the next president. So, the official withdrawal of our troops from Iraq must be credited to the ‘next president’ who happened to be Barack Obama. "

WRONG, WRONG, WRONG.

BUSH MADE THE AGREEMENT WITH THE IRAQI GOVERNMENT AND OBAMA FOLLOWED IT COMPLETELY AFTER HE COULD NOT GET THE IRAQI GOVERNMENT TO CHANGE IT.

Those are the facts, anything else is fantasy.

I read that the police opened gates for the attackers at the soccer game - and blocked gates for the Ultras to leave. Don't know if that is true or not.... but I have not heard of a breakdown of how many were killed from each side.

“I want to be very clear in calling upon the Egyptian authorities to refrain from any violence against peaceful protestors. The people of Egypt have rights that are universal. That includes the right to peaceful assembly and association, the right to free speech, and the ability to determine their own destiny. These are human rights. And the United States will stand up for them everywhere.” – Barack Obama, 28 January 2011
