Eddie, it's a great question. Integrating with Facebook is on our short list. (Any experienced Facebook developers want to help?)

In the long run, it will be self-defeating for Facebook to be a walled-garden. The new social web is open - which is part of the reason that IntenseDebate is all about integrating your "comment-like" content from everywhere, and making it available everywhere.

"Does this make us stupider? " - apparently you still need a dictionary on your desk!

What I see has nothing to do with memorization of trivia, and more to do with attention span and the ability to think deeply. I increasingly see young people not being able or at least being unwilling to spend an hour thinking through something complicated, ie "if the answer is not on Google then it is not worth knowing."

A couple of additional thoughts:

a) I am a regular at the Trident, but only for socialization. They have no outlets, hence aren't laptop friendly. I rarely eat there any more, since when I look in the muffin display I often see a cockroach.

b) Saxy's is remote worker central - nothing also ran about it. And far more Angels frequent Saxy's than The Cup. They don't have a mac vs PC attitude - everybody just gets along. Sure, if you want Mac attitude, go to The Cup, but if you're beyond that, then...

c) re: Feld & Amante: take note! I doubt whether Brad could turn down an offer of Amante Gelato!

Ryan, are you willing to buy phones for your buddies and save everybody else the wait in line? :)

And, I'm of the opinion that 2MP is fine, given the quality of the lens, which is what really limits picture quality these days anyway...right?
