28 weeks ago @ Madame Noire - I’m selfish because ... · 0 replies · +3 points

People are becoming less understanding of women who don't want to be mothers by saying petty things like "it's for selfish reasons". I hate when mothers, some of my acquaintances as well, lord it over me as if I'm less of a woman just because I do not want to have children of my own.
I get very touchy about the subject and while I hate to answer to people, I do tell them why and that I don't care what they think.
I wrote about a bad experience I had with such people http://unknowntheartist.com/2010/07/03/bein-serio...
Just 'cos I live in this society doesn't mean I'm going to conform to the norms of women and what they should be doing.
It's your body, your decision and you can change your mind if you want to. Thanks for posting this topic, it really got everyone talking :)

what a cutie- love how he paused and then was like, 'eh, I'll try the other boot'.
Thanks for sharing your kitty's fun! Hope your boots are okay :)

It makes me feel so warm and fuzzy!!! I love Gabriella's collection, it kills me to look at mine and see space between pieces... After seeing Gabriella's actual displays, I thought maybe a decorative display might spruce up my collection a bit better.

OMG. I think I found a girl with even more accessories than you:

At least, your items are organised, hers remind me of what you'd get if Paris Hilton and Minnie Mouse had an accident..

Holy moly, that is so weird. I didn't think I would look like any of those, even remotely but I def look like a mix of the Samoan and African American, which is fitting because i am Tongan-Jamaican.

I think all these ideas are pretty great but the bathroom one is probably one some should be wary of, unless you have a very airy bathroom.
The moisture caused by the shower and bath can sometimes rust any chain pieces one might have and sometimes ruin the lustre of certain types of beads.
thanks for posting other ways of organising jewellery. I am always looking for another way to organise as I not only make my own jewellery but have a bad shopping habit for pieces too- double storage whammy :)

In a large dept store, I used to work in, there were gangs working through the different locations. They'd literally just roll a BBQ out the door and noone said nothing.
When it came to clothes and perfume, the women would pile the clothes into their own baggy clothes and bags, and not stop until their cars were full. I only know this part because some of the gang were caught redhanded in the carpark as my team were able to ID them. Turns out they would sell everything on Ebay, and the profits would be sent back to their families overseas.
We even had school kids who used to carry magnets on their house-keys now so they can magnetise tags out of DVDs and steal those.
Some want nothing. Some take everything.

I say each to their own.
After having seen the copious amounts of people's possessions float down the river during the Queensland floods, here in Australia, I am more than ever looking to keep things short and sweet, functional and concise. Even if that means buying something to make a few things work more easily. I stand by you, EM :)

This is a child who doesn't seem so happy despite having every toy/outfit ever wanted, while here in QLD Australia, we have kids who have lost everything they own/love in the floods- toys, pets, their homes, even family members but still have smiles on their faces as our communities band together to clean up and support each other.
Children get joy out of the simplest of things, not out of everything.
