Thanks, Scott, for your frankness in your post. So humbling and convicting for me, especially those last three statements.
Dr. Berry, would you care to post a comment so other readers can know the outcome of the recent transplant surgery?
How often do we look past someone who doesn't look like us, dress like us, act like us? I've been so guilty of it often and it's in those moments that Jesus reminds me that He would've been inclined to sit down and compassionately get to know the person behind the face. Jesus loved the "least of these" and I so want to do the same. This article is a GREAT reminder of how to actively do so.
I agree, Deb. Many folks glamorize porn and don't realize the ramifications and that it's an actual addiction. We as the body of Christ need to keep fighting for and with each other in order to overcome such a distruptive addiction. Pass this article on to others--hopefully God will use it for so much good in many lives!
I look forward to hearing a positive report after the July 14th transplant. Keep us at Wesleyan headquarters updated, Dr. Berry! Praying as Pastor Mark and Connie come to mind . . .
Dave, we'd love to hear more about your church's Community Table Hot Breakfast. If you'd like to share more of the story, send an e-mail to Communications@wesleyan.org and we'll be in touch. Thanks!
I COMPLETELY agree with #4 and #7 . . . big, nasty BLEH. But #1?! C'mon, wedding mints are the best! :)
Thanks for an early Friday morning chuckle!
