I write a blog to help church communicators and creatives engage their culture better. I write for other sites and am listed on the Center for Church Communication database. I would love help building subscribers and comment threads. I struggle building platform. Does my site's structure and writing style help or limit my opportunites? Please advise.

I can get so lost in every task I loose all perspective. I have found, over the years, I need to get up and away. Your baptism moment would have been so energizing. Look at what God is doing and we can start to see why we do it. Thank you for the video. I don't need to know the faces to value the life change.

Dunk, I love your honesty. Thank you. The challenge is to talk to many but come across as it is one on one. Thanks for the comment. Hope all is well.

You make a great point. To an ancient roman/ jew familiar with crucifixion it might appear we wear golden guillotine's around our necks and hang nooses and electric chairs on our walls. The icons we hold so dear were death machines to them. Historical context is an interesting thing.

You could "stretch" it more and sight Christians in the synagogues. I am curious about your 240 AD reference though.

I agree. I also fear there is a bit of fear. We have an important message and we want to make sure it gets across. It is hard to find the line but an audience seems to know before the speaker when it has been crossed.

Great truth to confront my procrastination addiction. To answer your question; I have begun building my online presence beyond my blog by writing articles for other sites. After I build my confidence I will move to some print publications I respect. I always step cautiously. My wife keeps encouraging me to step more and step farther.

I am very thankful for a mother and father who taught me early the power of books. My three sons each spend time when we get home sitting and reading. I love to read and am still learning the power of the written text to challenge and ignite the mind. I wrestle witht he digital age of print because I love the ramantisism of holding a book, cradling the spin and turning the page. Still, that isn't a book as Michael said. It is a prefered delivery method. I will continue to write on and speak on the value of reading in my house, church and community.
