Here in Australia we have riot-gate. If you do not know what this is about, in a few words. There was a riot outside the Lobby restaurant here in Canberra. This was supposed to be due to something said by Tony Abbott the Opposition leader. The problem is that he did not say what these people were led to believe that he said.

The "riot-gate" part of the story is really messy. A media staffer from the Office of the Prime Minister has resigned. He tipped off the rioters. It is a lot messier than what this suggests because it appears that there was a meeting the previous day, a doorstop question for Tony Abbott by a journalist who was probably briefed by the Prime Minister's office, and that there was a Press Gallery briefing last Thursday (Australia Day) afternoon that was meant to stir up the pot against Tony Abbott blaming him for the riot.

The problem here is that some Aboriginal leaders agreed with the Abbott statement.... developing.

Romney could not get that kind of achievement. Newt is my pick. I am now quite positive that Newt is the Reaganite. He is the one most like Ronald Reagan. Mittens could not even shine Newt's shoes.

I come from a country that has semi-socialised health. It is a nightmare in more ways than one. However, it can have advantages such as using the hospital clinics and not having to pay the excess doctor visit costs.

Let me explain this in a way that you might understand.... England, and Tasmania... model prisons..... It is torture and it makes the prisoners mentally ill.

What I have not explained is about the model prison at Port Arthur. The description of white torture sounds a lot like what went on in the model prisons where prisoners were not allowed to talk to each other and they had to wear hoods over their heads. Those prisoners ended up being mentally incapacitated.

On the other hand waterboarding is something that lasts but a short time....... it is a sensation. It does not deprive the prisoner in such a way that it leaves a permanent reminder.....

Kevin, over the past 2 years I have had my share of "accidents", and yes they really were accidents. In at least 2 of these accidents I hit my head, once it was the back of my head, and twice it was my forehead. The first time I hit my forehead I ended up with scraping (concrete does that!!) and a black eye. The bruising from the black eye was in a different spot to where John Kerry has his bruising. The other time I hit my head when I slipped trying to get out of the bath and ended up with a big bruise on my leg (probably due to medication).

I agree with the others and think that he has had plastic surgery. It is the position of the bruising that indicates that possibility.

Kevin, I kind of get it, but in the Australian case we have an unmarried Prime Minister who is living with a man (who is divorced) and who has a history of having affairs with married men.

I do see a difference between the situation of Newt with Callista and the current Prime Minister in Australia. Newt married the woman. Juliar Dullard was simply a husband-stealer.
