sorry to hear about this. I am sure it is very difficult for you on so many levels.

I believe in the Institute of Marriage. However, I do like the trend of people waiting a bit longer to tie the knot.

I believe that given all the things that can and do go wrong in Society, that it is important for both men and women to be able to take care of themselves BEFORE they get married. My reasoning for this is that despite our hopes, wishes and desires, anything could happen to change the traditional gender roles in a family. Wives need to be prepared and have the confidence to run a household and be the sole bread winner in a family, in case their husbands cannot due to death, injury or job loss.

The only way I believe that this can happen is if the wife has had time achieve some sort of higher education, or have some good job experience under their belt.
