if you ask me kpop didn't have any problems like this before, girl groups were sweet and feminine then 2NE1 (my fave btw) came out and they were modern and funky although not sexy at all but it kindah set the other girls to a competitive rush that following groups came out with different images, and older groups became more sexy and mature concepts were made to break out from the cute stereotype and to stand out and attract more people... although if you ask me it's not a problem to some groups with older members, they can do sexy concepts but still the society is just too conservative... can you imaging if kpop kids dress like jpop kids does? with the short skirts and exposed belly buttons? korean parents might have a heart attack...it is inappropriate but since it's like the 'standard' jpop costume they don't look sexy anymore since everyone's like wearing the same thing...
