Holy cow!! Marla sent me over here (I'm the one that wrote the eBook) and I am bowled over. It still amazes me that we weren't the only one to experience the same thing. Of course, circumstances are different but there are SO many similarities in almost every story I hear. Thank you for the courage to share.

Thank you, Sara for posting. I have been wrestling with this for a really long time as I've been mentoring a girl that has struggled with this. Justin's writings have really opened my eyes. After having this relationship with my friend and reading his account, I'm more convinced than ever that it's not a choice. However, I'm still not sure that I fall into Side A or Side B that he refers to. I just know that as Christians, we better figure out something fast because the ignorant response a lot of people are taking is not doing anything for us. And honestly, I want to be able to give a good answer to my friend and also, to my children as they become of age to deal with this.

I just stumbled upon your post doing a search and just love this. I am actually writing an eBook on this very subject and some of the things you said were EXACTLY things I'd said when I went through mine. Like, I even went through Beth Moore's same study! God is so good that you came out of it before it was more devastating.

Our cashier was asking each person checking out if they wanted to donate one toy and had a basket of toys ready to pick from. So easy!

Amanda, I've really taken stock on what I'm watching too. And for me, it's really a time issue. I could be doing so much more than just sitting there. But, I know there is a quality issue too.
My issue is with how much money is wrapped up in our 2 flat-screens. Not sure if I could convince hubby to let his "prized possession" go though.
