This is such crap. Romney is a ridiculous flip flopper who has no soul.

While Rick Santorum was fighting tirelessly for the unborn 10 years ago Romney was donating to planned parenthood.

All the Romney supporters would be touting "three more important wins" if Romney had won. This spin is such BS. I hope Santorum crushes Romney on Super Tuesday just so I can here them try to spin that one.

I love the hypocrisy of so many of the Romney supporters. Santorum is spot on with his current rhetoric but has a few inconsistencies in his record. Romney is weak in his current rhetoric (tax cuts for the middle class, refusal to sign the pro life pledge etc) and has DRAMATiC flip flops and ridiculous inconsistencies in his record. They point out the speck in Santorum's eye while walking around with a frickin plank hanging out of their own.

Listen, no candidate is going to be perfect. Not even Ron Paul (who flip flopped on DADT). But that doesn't mean that all candidates are equal. Romney is the biggest flip flopper in the race and anyone looking honestly at his record should be suspicious of anything he says.

I agree with you. With that being said, I think the point that he was making was that it is better to stand and make the case for conservatism and win those who are not committed to the GOP that way rather than be a mushy moderate and win them that way.

I remember hearing Ann Coulter once say that even if you only care about fiscal conservatism you should vote for a pro life republican because you cannot trust the pro choice ones to stand up for anything (including fiscal issues). Rick Santorum is a solid guy...not perfect but solid. He has been on the right side of issues for his whole career. Was he wrong to support Specter? Of course but the reason he did it was that Specter was on the judicial committee and Santorum was worried about losing Specter as an R who would vote for Bush's appointments. In other words, wrong approach right motive. On earmarks, you should always be skeptical of short edits like the audio they had. I am sure that Santorum said a whole lot more to say.
