Throw them all in jail and seize ALL of their assets (and their families') until the deficit is cleared up...If they want a free ride...give them one to jail 'without passing Go or collecting $200'. They are betraying our country to line their pockets. Don't throw the bums out...throw them into the darkest prison we can find and forget about them for all time...let their names be stricken from all records...

I'm not as much concerned by Iran as I am by their 'supporters'. If the Strait of Hormuz is closed (or seriously choked), then a large portion of the American Navy will be in a 'shooting gallery'. While I have deep respect for our military, history tells us that it can be decimated by a lesser force that is willing to take the risk. When you combine that with an anti-American president, then our military are going into a terribly dangerous situation.
If the military commanders act as military leaders rather than as politicians, we may be ok...if not, then we are in serious trouble. I still contend that Obama wants a confrontation resulting in significant American losses so he can 'unconditionally' surrender (with the exception that he maintains a lifetime appointment as Emperor of America.) Sadly, our Congress would allow him to surrender and accept whatever he mandates.
So, as we scoff about Iranian military capabilities, do not underestimate the forces arrayed against us (Iran, Russia, China, and Obama).
I still have a free Survival eBook available at www.rongoulden.com/Literary.htm. The "Night of Screams" is also available there as well. Bad times are already in America, worse times are coming. Be prepared and decide if your are going to be a victim or a survivor.

“When policemen break the law then there is no law, just a fight for survival.” - Billy Jack, 1972

That just about sums it up...corrupt cops, federally subsidized cops (same as corrput cops), a DoJ that is above the law and selectively enforces or ignores laws and non-laws at will. We live in a time or anarchy...but most people don't know it yet.

If someone puts lights on the top of their car, they can get just about anyone to stop. We have had instances where 'false' cops pull people over, then rob or rape them. No one is willing to question 'authority' even false authority. While I have great respect for the true LEOs (mostly Sherriff's where I live), there are too many thugs on the police forces. Any time Memphis annexes an area, crime goes up (I suspect the MPD cases the new areas for their criminal friends.)

Back on topic, though...Holder needs to spend HARD time for LIFE with no opportunity for parole.

I recently went to Honolulu on a trip with my wife. She wanted to do a bus tour. The driver passed a condo and he proudly declared that it was the home of Obama as a child where he was raised by the second wealthiest woman in Hawaii, which was why he could afford to go to such elite schools (I won't call the man a liar, just misinformed). The other thing that struck me were the beach towels with Obama on them, labelling him "An American Hero". They are working hard to perpetuate the 'Legend' (MYTH).

You know, legend has it that General Pershing handled them rather well ( http://www.snopes.com/rumors/pershing.asp ) . Don't know if it's true, but he used the body fluids and parts from pigs to get the message across. Much more extreme that a little urine.

I don't much care for Perry (even though I used to be a Texas resident), I have to applaud him for speaking up for these young men and women thrown in harm's way. They aren't criminals for acting on impulse...it just makes them human.

Frankly, I've not seen enough of a spread between Obama and Romney to make me comfortable...to me it's Obama or Obama-light. Paul says the right things, but at 76 who knows? (In 2008, they were concerned about McCain dying on the job.) Besides, if Paul tries to change anything, they'll just get rid of him.

I don't believe the Republicans are concerned about fielding a viable candidate...I think they are quite happy with Obama, they're getting a LOT of crap done (that should not be happening in America).

Our political elites have pushed us down the slippery slope to national destruction. The road we are now travelling is steep, dark, and dangerous with little opportunity to stop our descent, let alone turn it around. I think we are beyond feebly hoping for some politician to save us...it's time for American to roll up their sleeves and straighten this mess out ourselves. It will be ugly and brutal and a lot of people (the 50% on entitlements) are going to fight back with a vengeance. It needs to be done, or America just needs to wither and blow away.

Why don't the Republicans stop posturing for the primary and just do their damned jobs. Start plastering DC with Articles of Impeachment until the government shuts down. That will put an end to the party...or at least make the cockroaches come out into the light of day.

Defund the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. Make Cordray the head of an inviable department until Obama recinds the appointment,,, but that won't happen, Obama has won and Congress is neutered. They will be sent home very soon. In just three years, Obama has changed (destroyed) the greatest country in the world.

It really doesn't matter... the republicans/independents will field the worst possible candidate to ensure that their master stays in office. They condone his actions and expect to live in the imperial palace (otherwise, the articles of impeachment would ne never-ending.)

Little do they realize that in a short time, they may be removed...they have already voted themselves into irrelevancy,

The time has long since passed for us to stop trusting the government and ts agents (Corollary to Gouldenism #1 - "Trust (and distrust) are not spontaneous gifts; they are earned by cumulative words and actions, over time." )

The government is not to be trusted, they have betrayed that trust. (Corollary to Gouldenism #1 - "Trust (and distrust) are not spontaneous gifts; they are earned by cumulative words and actions, over time." )

The time is quickly approaching when those guns will be put to the test, along with the people carrying them.
My rules of thumb are:
1- Have a gun you can shoot (and actually hit what you aim at) - the biggest gun is not always the best.
2 - "One bullet - one rabbit" (Aim and be able to hit your target - don't depend upon 'spray & pray')
3 - Have a caliber that will have readily available supplies of ammunition (While a .300 Magnum is cool, where will you replenish your ammunition after six months of combat?)
4 - when in comabt, have your gun loaded and cocked (don't pump a round into the chamber to advertise where you are.)
5 - Shoot to kill - don't use the gun as a negotiating tool (let the bullet negotiate for you in a life or death situation).

Heartwarming. It's good to see Americans preparing for the inevitable. A couple pieces of advice for first-time buyers/shooters:
1 - Do not buy the biggest caliber you can find. Buy a gun you can shoot and hit what you're aiming at.
2 - More bullets is not always better. A single well-aimed shot is more effective than a hundred 'spray & Pray' where you point the gun and hope to hit something. (When things get bad, ammunition will quickly become a valuable commodity.) I am a strong proponent of 'one bullet - one rabbit".
3 - Avoid exotic calibers...a gun is worthless if you cannot get ammunition for it. Use military & police calibers so you have a larger pool or ammunition (9mm, 38/357, 45, 12 gauge, 223, 7.62 (308)and even the lowly 22). Other calibers may be justified, just think about future sources of ammunition.
4 - LEARN HOW TO SHOOT AND MAINTAIN THE WEAPON!

The thing about the anti-gun proponents is that they will be the first to come running to us for protection when things go bad. Don't waste your time...you'll get no help from me...live the hell you've chosen to promote.

For those with an interest in such things, I have a free eBook, Survival, available at www.rongoulden.com/Literary.htm (it is just a starting point, not an all-encompassing guide. There are other books available that are much more detailed. However, everyone's situation and needs are different, so a 'start' is the best I can provide...you'll have to fill in the details.)

Comparisons between America and other countries are not legitimate because of ethnic and cultural differences. What works in one country may not necessarily apply in another, so the comparative logic is flawed. The bottom line is that you either believe in the need for firearms and the second amendment or you don't ... justification is not necessary. I suspect that in the very near future, we will see who was right.

Again, don't come to me begging for protection if you're not willing to protect yourself. If you are armed and ready to help, welcome. Otherwise...sorry.
