I remember when he went to the Carmel City Council and tried to get permission to enlarge a restaurant he still owns. I think he wanted to add a a second story. They said "no' so he ran for mayor, won, made the improvements he wanted and then quit after one term. I've been in 'The Hogs Breath Inn' several times, great place.

Please don't get me wrong. I like Newt and I may end up voting for him (I'm in the ABO Party, 'Anyone But Obama' ) All the candidates are in the MSM's cross-hairs and they need to be very careful about what they say and what they endorse. As for Eastwood, I really would like to know his motivation. Did he do the video knowing it would be used against all Republican candidates, was he mislead or did he do it just for the money? Whatever the reason, he's not running for office so I give him a bit more of a pass than Newt on this issue.

Yeah, kidding aside, I know Newt is a smart guy and he understands that 'everything' is political these days. How could he not pick up on the ambiguous message in the video. BTW those same people did produce pro Obama ads in the past
