Andrew B: This story should be page one on your site daily. You would only be doing what the mainstream press would have done had the President's name been Bush, and the Attorney General's name been Ashcroft or Gonzalez. Just look at how they handled the Plame affair! Iran Contra! Anytime a Republican is involved, the media turns rabid. For a Democrat, the guns remain sidelined and silent. Someone needs to fire off a bunch of journalistic rounds and force them to cover it! Might as well be you and Drudge....

She also believed in the intelligence of the American people during the 2006 and 2008 elections that brought the Democrat termite infestation to DC. Can the deliverer of witty zingers explain the lapse in the public's judgment on those occasions, or is she still clinging to the inexplicable belief that Obungler and his gutless cohort were actually GOOD for America? Two things stand out here - 1) that the Oprah is considered an elite thinker and 2) regardless of what you think of Palin, one has to wonder why the left continues their daily assault on her. Have they not learned that the more they ignore her, the less sway she has over people? Personally, I think Palin is pretty brilliant if you ask me. She has taken one of the pillars of Alinsky ideology - "pick the target, freeze it, polarize it, personalize it" - and turned it on its ear. She is their target, but instead of isolating her, they have helped create for her an army of followers. Face it, Americans still don't like to see women picked on to this extent. Even if the right attacked Hillary in this fashion, a pool of growing sympathizers would eventually evolve to lift her. It is much easier to attack someone like Boehner - not many will feel sympathy for the older privileged white male. Palin has not only managed to turn them back, but she is now in control. In the face of the daily media assault against her, I would say that she was "strategerically brilliant"...wouldn't you say?

Crime is international business. Much like traditional companies have crossed borders, so too have criminal enterprises. At the local level, crime was a local problem. As criminal enterprises expand operations across the globe, they become a global problem. As we have seen, some parts of the globe want to tackle these kinds of problems (like terrorists), and others (many, many others) simply turn a blind eye. This is the grim reality of gutless leadership across the world. As the chaos spreads, the end result of this gutlessness will be a coordinated, global theft of liberties of the citizens of the world in the name of security. A global police force will need to be formed to deal with the growing complexities involved with fighting global criminal organizations. The chaos will grow as countries struggle to maintain their sovereignty, but the inevitable will happen - one world government. The clarion call will come when international crime and terrorism have gotten to the point that they can no longer be policed by each nation alone. Current international cooperation will no longer suffice, and a new framework will be needed that will make it easier to prosecute an American in another country. This is the end result of our global moral cowardice. This is not an end times prophecy, but a reality staring us in the face.

I don't understand this comparison between Obama and Churchill. The only apt comparisons for Obama would be Jimmy Carter, Millard Fillmore or Herbert Hoover. These constant comparisons to Churchill, Reagan, Kennedy and others is simply astonishing, given how incompetent he is. His weakness has resulted not only in the emboldening of our enemies, but also a strain in our friendships. Further, his weakness and utter lack of competency have decimated public confidence in their institutions, as well as bringing clouds of uncertainty over our economy. One could even make the case that his incompetence is purpose filled - to bring about the kind of "change" he really wanted, which was the erosion of our standing in the world, the goal of which would be a US subservient to global interests.
Don't waste time telling me why Obama is no Churchill...I already knew that...

True to form, liberals only appear civilized when they believe they are winning the day. What we are seeing now is that none of their more subtle attacks on the American people are working, so they are simply showing us who they really are. Joyless and the rest of the ViewShrews (still don't see why Hasselbeck is still on that show) are merely revealing to the world their true nature - vile, crude, repugnant and foul. Leftists will use subterfuge as long as it is effective. Once its effectiveness has receded, leftists will resort to their true animalistic nature - rage and viciousness, intolerance and pure unfiltered hate.

Why is that? Simple really - their ideas are hollow and empty. They have nothing concrete to support their belief system. They resort to jungle law because they CANNOT support themselves through reason - it is an impossibility.

It's fun to watch, actually. The sight of an angry Behar, Madcow or Olberdolt is certainly not frightening. It just means they are losing. So sit back, pull out the chips and dip, and watch the show...good stuff!

Projections of American Power...interesting, in light of who we have the helm of our ship right now. Americans first projected weakness when they voted Democrats into power in 2006, then projected further weakness when electing a pretender in 2008. We didn't need Wikileaks to show the world that. What IS interesting about these leaks is that the Saudis still finance Al Qaeda, and yet we are still allies, and that China and Russia are not friends. They are indeed enemies. The fact that we have tied our economy to such an enemy as China is astounding enough. We should be doing more to bring them to their knees, but won't. They are actively engaged in a campaign of stealth war against us and have been for years. Aside from their cyber-attacks and their currency shenanigans, the Chinese have been not so secretly engaging the very enemies Bush dubbed the axis of evil. While we do all the dirty work in Iraq, the Chicoms and the Russians are sweeping in and setting up shop on their oil fields while the leftists here yell and scream about Dick Cheney and Halliburton. Here is my solution to defeating the Russians, the Chinese and the rest of their minions - utterly and completely excise the cancer we have in the country - the left (and that includes the media) - and the rest will begin to fall into place.

65 weeks ago @ Breitbart.tv - Chris Matthews Gets Ed... · 1 reply · +2 points

I've known people like Chris Matthews all my life. People like him love to hear themselves talk, and eventually, most people tire of listening to the same diatribe day in and day out. Few people like being yelled out, talked over and riddled with nonsense. His only talent is talking over people. He says nothing of merit - nothing. I question whether Obama is smarter than these other folks. His reliance on teleprompters shows that he is NOT in command of the subject matter. His policies have shown that he truly is NOT the smartest guy in the room, and the incompetent people he has hired also reveals a shocking lack of intelligence. Obama is merely they guy who was put in place by a larger movement - a movement which wants to bring about the demise of the America as we know it. They want a newer, weaker America which is subservient to world interests. It is not in the interests of these globalists that America remain the last best hope for mankind. The very notion of an exceptional America sickens these people. Matthews is one of them. This is the vision of Soros and a legion of others. Obama is merely the token symbol of their movement. I wouldn't worry about Chris Matthews - no one listens to him except himself. Arrogance such as his is never rewarded. I can tell you this though - the leftists are getting angrier, they will get more violent and they will become more vicious in the days ahead. They realize Obama does not have the spine for the fight, so they will take it up for him. Look for more anger from the left - idiots like Olberdolt, MadCow and Chris Tingle here will be unleashed, the media will begin its assault on the new Congress and the next two years will literally be a war for control of the country. The key has always been the media - call them out on every falsehood, crush them at every turn and continue the demise of their business model. There simply aren't enough liberals out there to support their business. If we want to ensure that we are back on the right road as a nation, we must start by sending media types to the unemployment lines. Tingle boy will collapse under the weight of his own ego...

85 weeks ago @ Big Journalism - Hubris and Humility: D... · 3 replies · +48 points

The increasing polarization of this society is a direct effect of a biased media. Journalists were once trusted by the American people to bring them the news - and just the news. Whether that trust was well founded remains debatable. Today, the trust is clearly broken. For conservatives such as myself, the last straw was the election of Barack Obama. Bill Clinton was right - he was concocted in fantasy land. The media did NOTHING to vet this man, and they continue to do nothing to him. Since the media and this administration/Congress enjoy such a cozy relationship, it seems that more and more journalists are coming clean about their true feelings. Who would have thought that Helen Thomas would ever say what she said? I believe it is true hubris - journalists feel protected by the government, and the government feels protected and shielded by them. Take the Gulf Oil Spill for example. If Bush had been president and had done what Obama has done so far, there would be daily calls for his impeachment in Congress and the media. Where are the calls from the media to investigate MMS? Where are the calls for government to come clean on what they knew and when they knew it? Nothing - still nothing. The only attacks come against BP - and that is EXACTLY how this administration wants the national conversation about this tragedy framed. Journalists and the government working together to shape opinion - THIS, if anything, would cause the founding fathers to turn over in their graves. Journalists and this government also want Americans to feel betrayed by corporate elitists, but they themselves are part of this elite. The media is big business itself, and their cozy relationship with Democrats is indeed troubling. Of course, the only villains are the ones who create jobs - at least in the minds of the government and media elitists. Yours has become a despicable career choice - journalism today is about opinion shaping, not about protecting the public from runaway government and corruption. You have chosen sides, and it is NOT with the American people. The American people have rebelled, and you don't like it. Now you and your ilk sulk like children about Drudge, and the only reason you do is that he has become better at opinion shaping than YOU. He has taken the current media model - put everything important to the left on the front page - and turned it on its ear. You don't like that. Well tough - journalists who have chosen to be proponents of leftist causes are to blame - for Drudge, for Rush and for the rise of alternative media. Because of their egos they simply can't see this fundamental fact. So now, when they get caught with their pants down, they apologize, hoping it will all go away. Sorry - peddle it somewhere else. Seriously Dave - if you want to make a name for yourself, I suggest you turn on the media that has betrayed the people and blog about THEM. Lift the veil on their secrets. Expose them for the frauds and hucksters we know they are. Otherwise, save your apologies for those who care - we don't. If you are a true conservative, you will know that actions speak louder than words. So act...until then, we could care less.

Wait - According to his platform, Obama would use funds that would have been going to fight wars in Iraq and Afghanistan to fund his social programs. Now - I'm no mathematician, but if he wants to spend hundreds of billions on stimulus, hundreds of billions on health care, and hundreds of billions on wars, where will he get the money to do this???? Hmmmm...did he lie during the campaign? Only to the idiots who believed him
