Hi Jamie - we like HooteSuite.com for this. They are still in testing phase with Google+, but we control all our social media feeds from one dashboard there. - Scott
Hi Bob... thanks for the comment. I agree about Facebook for B2C, and in addition to the cited survey in the infographic above, all Analytics reviews I have done for B2B clients show that Facebook just does not send engaged or converting traffic to sites. What was your horror story about the new G+ Brand pages?
Thanks Bill... appreciate you stopping by and catching my mistake. I do know the difference between "road" and "rode" (corrected now above), just plain didn't catch it. Every professional with whom I've worked occasionally makes mistakes -- even the "copy editors" on large publications. I'm pretty sure that if we checked "pencils" you will have used your eraser a time or two, without totally sacrificing credibility.
Hi Bob - thanks for the insights, and I agree that Kevin Smith encourages us to entertain with our content. The bottom line is the "content" of the service or product itself, then when we have a winner, we Content Marketers can seek to entertain and fascinate with how we put the message out there.
Excellent analysis, Barnaby. A sub-theme at the conference is the "power of story", and you are correct on two counts -- it works, and the bullet "take-away" items could have been more fascinating and either rewritten, or placed in a round-up post. The take-away I get from your review is that there's a reason why story-telling is an art-form... it takes a relentless focus, and high skills to pull it off. Ok... now please come back and point us to some fascinating posts of your own.
Hi Michele - Good to meet you too, and kudos on the event and all the live blogging you curated. I have already recommended next year's Content Marketing World to a number of colleagues even though I believe it will burst the capacity of the grand old sprawling Renaissance Hotel, which I loved.
Hi Bob... thanks for your question. Yes -- we can definitely help. But some of this you can do on your own. For example, determine an important category of posts on your site. Then, just go to the menus editor in admin., and add that category to a navigation menu. That will elevate what you know people want into a more retrievable position for new visitors to your site.
That handsome fellow... must be Bob Leonard -- thanks for your comment. So far poll takers at a new poll on LinkedIn --
http://linkd.in/oHvKNl -- agree that Google+ is going to be big and even eclipse Facebook. Now maybe you should make the acquaintance of Mr. Clooney... on Google+ (Ashton Kucher is already there).
Hi Dan - thanks for the feedback... always good to hear what real site visitors think. - Scott
HI Bob -- thanks for the nice compliment. You're right it's a left/right brain thing. Starts with design, then coding, then optimization, analytics and design optimization tweaking. I think that's left-->right-->left-->left-->right-->left. Not sure, though! The whole thing comes about as clients ask to develop a site, then after it's "done", want it to perform better. Cheers.
