Take me out to the 'old ball park'! - Congratulations to Opening Day Partners and Richmond baseball fans alike. This proposal comes from the right group for the job, and the right fiscal responsible plan for the City of Richmond. At first, as an old time patron of 'the bottom' for many years - I was hoping for the stadium to come in and put Richmond on the map of downtown fun again (Like Austin TX) - however, after reviewing plans, and seeing this new re-use of an existing facility (and central location/access to the West End crowd) I can't help but think the Baseball Stadium belongs where it is. Call it a 'green' approach to re-using vs. building, or simply easier - but I have cast my vote. Those that still want a downtown stadium, just remember one stadium doesn't make a downtown - it will take more than that to revitalize the area for daily traffic of pedestrians. Don't believe me... just visit the Canal Walk, and look around for people eating, walking, or strolling along; you won't find them (unless you are there at 5:45AM and see the http://www.sealteampt.com group running by). It boils down to this for me... It's time to play ball, and have a year-round facility that will bring families to the city for some fun!

If you are looking for a fun, modern, minimalistic unique place to live... this is it. It's nice to see someone build out a building with unique angles, common areas, and architectural sustainability that is not your typical warehouse conversion. I heard units were moving fast during yesterday's open house, so don't delay go check it out!

Here's another tip for real-estate agents who want to send their comments on a property to their client.
1. Go to http://www.bubblecomment.com 2. Put in the property's URL web address 3. Record your personalized video message (using any webcam) about the property 4. Send the new shortcut URL to your client... and when they click on the new link, they'll see you talking about the property, and why they should consider it. Cool new free tool huh?

http://www.gapminder.org certainly does bring light to your point. I found the visual representation very helpful. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I had one question that I couldn't find using the tool. You mention 35 health systems (besides the USA) are better, and results based. Could you elaborate/educate me on what this means, and perhaps provide an example country or region? I'm wondering if they would fit/work in our open market system... What I mean is a lot of our 'healthcare' is privatized, so perhaps our discussions are hard to truly determine since the US consists of interwoven private/public (or government run/subsidized) health care programs. How do we differentiate the two in this forum, and more importantly in the real world? Great food for thought for us all.
