Mr. Nathan hits on an issue that this country has been hiding behind for a very long time! You would think in 2009 we would be past such immature rantings of racial bias from the media, stars and those in our gov't! Shame on anyone who calls a dissenting point of view "racist".
What they are really saying is "I don't know how to answer, I don't have an answer, therefore I will cloud the issue with "non-facts". Could it be that the American people who voted for Obama are now having "buyers remorse"? This President was not vetted, nor was his radical leanings ever completely published. The voting population was tainted by the likes of Acorn and the 14 states that let illegal immigrants have drivers permits. Anyone regardless of their political ideology has to see this President for what he is, a radical socialistic/marxist boarding on dictator. If we don't let the voice of men like Mr. Nathan and others get out, then we should be flogged in the public square!!!

ImpeachO, sorry, but I am taking your comment the wrong way! I too lived in the south for over 10 years. Georgia where folks don't think anything exists past the Mason-Dixon line and where CNN is the "Chicken News Network". South Carolina and North Carolina. I had employees who either were a mixed marriage or had a child by someone other than their race. I really never saw anyone look down at the child because of the race of the mother or father. I think you are generalizing to much and making an excuse for the President. Regardless who you were born to, at a certain age, you command your life. You take it in the direction you want and your attitude will reflect what is inside you.
Any person being ashamed of having a child not of their same race should have that child removed from their care. There are plenty of folks in the south that have children while collecting welfare or other state aid. That bothers me since I don't want my tax $'s paying for someone to have children!
If they need help while they are trying to gain their footing, then that's ok, as long as it isn't for years!
