Big Hollywood : HOWARD ZINN’S LEGACY: Religious Fanaticism and Illegal Indoctrination of Your Children

Kristine, which bible has been confirmed? the Jewish one? the Christian one? LDS? Koran?__Also, a lot of your arguments might be an argument for some type of creator or designer but not necessarily for a loving , personal God.

You are in love with the word "mental," aren't you. I bet you would like to take the word "mental" behind the school and get it pregnant.

Try reading a book for a change. Lots of them are are least open to the idea of individualism, capitalism, and ethics. Best of all, you do not have to take a shower afterwards to scrub off the insulting stench of lowest common denominator liberalism. I recommend Dilbert as a warm-up, Ann Rand as an apertif, and the Golden Age by John Wright as the main course. A Confederacy of Dunces is also high on my book list. O'Toole's magnum opus is a bracing reminder that in every person, conservative , liberal or otherwise, lurks a kernel of hubris, hypocrisy, and willfull blindness. Take me for example. I am being a hypocrite today because I am typing this and reading Big Hollywood instead of studying for medical school. I hope Kieth Olberman does not call me out for my foolishness (and for being a naked hand model in the late 80's)

Just to be clear, because I play banjo. You want to punish Polanski with what was happening in Deliverance while the banjo was playing right? Its not the music that bothers you?

I agree with you. Rape and beatings violate the prisoner's constitutional rights and are a sin against God. That kind of punishment is unlawful and a throwback to Pagan times.

Historically speaking , the right wingers are really unlucky these day because they do not have any truly evil role models to look up to and emmulate. The leftys have so many, so many. Polanski, Chavez, ACORN, The Chinese Communist Dictators. Lucky bastards.

I agree. I like Return. The only thing that ruins that movie for me are those stupid cheesy Ewoks. How I wanted the Empire to crush them into some admixture that could be then be served as a Mcdonald's hamburger.

I am asking seriously, why can I not enjoy the Honeymooners? Did watching modern tv comedies ruin me somehow? How and where can I get some Jackie Gleason mojo. This issue also comes up when I try to watch older classic movies like Stagecoach, Breakfast at Tiffanies, etc.
