Here's an idea, if you build your house next to the river put it on stilts. Oh, the 500 year flood plain is out the window. With the thousands of acres of new parking lots in this state and practically every corn field being tiled runoff water after a rain moves much, much faster then it did even a few years ago. Too bad all the highly paid professers at the U couldn't figure that out.

The jobs will come back right after the total economic collapse, i.e. all the people with decent incomes lose thier jobs and suddenly realize that there actually is a problem.
