One of the local dealers here was on the radio the other day and said that they have no idea if they'll even get PAID for this program. It sounds like there's a very real possibility that the dealers and the taxpayers will be the ones getting screwed. There's over 100 pages of rules and regulations that requires a team of lawyers to decipher. I thought one of the purposes of this program was to get more fuel efficient cars on the road, yet people are buying vehicles like Tundra trucks that don't exactly get GREAT mileage. Just another gigantic waste of our money and we don't even benefit

I just happen to ALSO believe that gov't should not interfere--I don't know where you got the idea that I do...I have NEVER said anything to that effect. Just because I don't particularly like aPERSON doesn't mean I want the goobermint interfering with business, salary, or perks.

I didn't think it even made it into the legislative session, which only meets for a couple weeks every 2 yrs. I know there was a special session called by Perry, but did not think this made it onto the table. I'll have to research that.

With 2 1/2 terms of Perry under our belts, I'm also cynical. He's done some things I like and I LIKE what he's saying, but I want action! He's been very weak on illegals and very strong on pushing toll roads and the "trans Texas Corridor." The bogus cigarette tax to take some of the school tax burden off of homeowners was a complete farce--my taxes just keep going up. With or without Woebamacare the states need to invoke the 10th. If they sit around waiting to see what DC is going to do, it'll be too late.

It WILL happen here. Christ has already been taken out of the schools, as well as the pledge of allegiance to the flag, Nobamessiah has announced that we are not a Christian country, and immorality abounds. The prophecies warn us of exactly what's coming and we're seeing it around the world and in our very own country. People are no longer allowed to have Bible studies in their own homes in San Diego. We are on a fast track to the end times, IMHO. Those who do not know, do not realize that we are seeing the prophecies and revelations coming to fruition. I just hope there truly is a pre tribulation rapture!

Those were her demands and they were willing to meet them. They did not offer her a limo and private jet, however they met her demand. The "HP Way" used to mean something---it all went away. I just didn't care much for her and that's all I'm going to say. I would, however, vote for her if I still lived out there because she's far better than the dimwit she'd be running against. I never said a peep about the goobermint stepping in and certainly do not for one minute think they should. I'm totally against that.

I remember her at HP. Not extremely impressed with the things she did there, and they finally gave her 21million to go away. However, i did see her on tv during the campaigns and she does sound brilliant on the economy. I'd definitely vote for her to get rid of that brainless ninny that's in there now if I still lived out there. She was the only CEO at HP to EVER have her own corporate jet (the rest flew commercial with everyone else), her own limo and driver (everybody else drove the company issued Tauruses, travelled with her hairdresser, makeup artist, etc. Lew Platt was a tough act to follow.

I remember those classes, myself. The young people of today have NO idea what our forefathers endured to secure our freedom...none! The liberals and secular progressives had not yet taken over the dumbification system when I was in school. I also remember getting whacked with a paddle in the principal's office for misbehaving--they didn't give a rat's nose about my little feewings! I was there to learn. And if I got in trouble in school, I got a double whammy when I got home.

This is exactly why I didn't watch. I knew I'd end up throwing something at the tv, which I cannot afford to replace, so I watched HGTV, then went out and handwatered for 30 min or so. I did see a few bits on O'Reilly and Hannity later on, and what little I saw just ticked me off even more. Our local NBC channel was talking about the speech and rebutting some of the arguments, citing MSNBC as the source..........yeah, there's an impartial bunch.
