I have to admit, I run hot and cold on this issue.

There are times, albeit few and far between, when I would love to learn more about what's going on with the Ignite Portland process.

And then there are times, far more often, when I think "These folks spend their free time volunteering to put on a free event that is one of the most consistently entertaining events in Portland. So who cares how they do it? I just hope they keep doing it."

Thanks for a glimpse behind the curtain. I had always assumed that the selection process relied on one of Selena's chickens. Kinda glad I was wrong, kinda not.

If email is a preferred delivery mechanism, though, you could enable "subscribe by email" through Feedburner or another service. Between that and Intense Debate "notify me... via email" you've got a mailing list. ;)

Please know that I'd be willing to do whatever I can to help other folks build the kind of collaborative environment we've got going in Portland in their hometowns. And I know others would echo that support. Like @beerandblog, for instance, which has already opened a Las Vegas chapter with @jackie1776. ;)
