I congratulate you on hitting the exacta! One and two are absolutely Fiennes and Ledger in these roles. I would argue Amon Christian is the most pure character of evil ever portrayed. Ledger's Joker forced me to consider more questions than any other character I've seen.

I thought maybe I was watching a Mel Brooks movie as I was laughing my ass off for the last hour of this shlockfest. But Cameron truly has created an awesome alternate universe. It was worth my time and my $7.50.

Not a time that I pass by the Atlanta speedway passes without me thinking of this classic piece of Americana.

TMZ knows precisely where the lines for defamation and libel are drawn. There is no way they would have posted what they have without having the goods. Fuhgeddaboudit. Note that Prejean's weasel does NOT deny the existence of such a tape.

No movie ever portrayed an adult "reaching" an entirely disaffected teen girl better than Uncle Buck. The comedy stands on its own, but the realistic love and understanding, with a measure of toughness shown by Buck was tremendous. That girl was gone, but he created the space needed for her to come back. Brilliant.

One of Uncle Walter's favorite devices was to introduce a piece about many Republicans by intoning, "....The conSERVative Senator from Indiana....." Not once from the time I listened intently (time of Watergate hearings) did he EVER introduce a Democrat with "....The LIBeral Senator...." Not once.

"Conservative" was an epithet to him and the elitists who dominated the media. I got into a very intense argument with a college journalism prof about this. He refused to believe my assertion about Cronkite's smearing of conservative pols in this manner. When all of my classmates, almost all big liberals, agreed they had never heard him introduce anyone as a liberal, the prof backtracked and declared that so long as the description was accurate, there was no bias evidenced.
