I found this exact car on the LotusTalk forums last night while I was putting off some homework. Some girl on there posted it for a friend who is trying to sell it, claims it was originally owned by Mike Tyson. She has an album of her posing with the car too, but I think she just gets in the way.

This movie was the reason I knew what a fastback body style was as a child. Much much better than the remake. I actually haven't watched it since before I was really into cars so I need to go back and see it again.

Ummmmm, if you have a more legitimate source than the LA Times, which seems to say that the bridge was fully approved by the necessary channels, I'm sure the esteemed gentlemen who run this site would love to include that information.

It's a nice picture, but I would hardly call that a 'train'. More like a road caravan.

This is a train:

It's fitting that the only part I will probably ever be able to figure out is the one where all you can see is the box.

My uncle has a wife, let's call her my aunt. She is not related to me by blood, and is therefore a little on the crazy side. She does however have a father who I am not related to, who has an affinity for old cars. He has already designated his modest car collection to his children for when he kicks the bucket, and my aunt being the youngest gets the two worst cars instead of one of the really nice ones. One of these is a 1963 Triumph TR3, which I have had the pleasure of driving on one glorious equation. I was only able to go about 35 mph on suburban side streets because it didn't have a working speedometer, and this being my first experience with a synchro-less manual transmission I may have actually grinded the gears on a 2-1 downshift. Even so, it was the most pure and enjoyable driving experience I have had yet in my young life. One day I will own one of these magnificent vehicles.

This has nothing to do with the particular post at hand but I am reminded of the experience every time I see a Triumph, which isn't nearly often enough.

Their actual website says they used the engine from a 1996 Corvette which means it's actually the LT1 or LT4. Sadly I do not have the knowledge to differentiate between the two from pictures alone. I'm just nitpicking though.

These are all cars that I daydream about purchasing once I finish grad school and get a job. Though I would throw in the 05-06 GTO with the LS2 as a cheaper alternative to the CTS-V but looking at your other choices I suppose that might be a little boy-racerish for your tastes.

Huh. I commuted to school for half a semester, it too was 37 miles each way but that came out to an hour and a half in each direction. And then one day it snowed and it became two and a half hours. And then I gave in and got a place on campus to save my sanity.

Porsches, Bentleys, Audi R8s, Ferraris, I've seen them all. But I've never run into a GMC Typhoon in person. This makes me sad.

I'd prefer a Syclone though.
