Hi Joe,
Aloe Vera industry here has pretty much died out because there is no processing facility in the country and we were unable to install one because the aloe market was very saturated globally so there was no market potential.

The crop grows surprisingly well here but unless there is investment into the whole production chain ($2 -$5 million investment), availability is next to nil.

Currently, UMPGL (http://umpgl.com) is doing very well setting up Moringa production in Masindi.

Thanks for checking in.

Hi Kim here's a small but incomplete list of things that I am doing to try to help my community, my country, my continent:

Oh, and criticizing half-baked development projects that deserve a rethinking. Sevenly isn't the first and only project to get it's fare share of undressing on this site. Thanks for your input.

Hi Amanda. Thank you so much for your prayers. I can never turn down a prayer. We all need them in these trying times. But I'll have to take you to task for saying that I only criticize. Perhaps you should get to know what it is I do before YOU criticize me. Throwing stones in glass houses are we now?

Hi Lyn,

Great comment. I think you are right in terms of including the AA population into the call. The door should always be open for those that want to collaborate, but for many of us Neo Diaspora, we find it hard to integrate in the AA culture and tradition here in the States. Not sure about European Afro Diaspora.

This is something I went through. There's never that welcoming spirit for us so we tend to stick together I suppose.

After 20 years in the US, I can honestly only name but a handful of great friendships with AA that I cherish, but they worked and were genuinely curious to learn about NEO Diaspora and our culture.

I would welcome a much more open cultural exchange and partnership. We must change this paradigm.

Hey Timwu,

I can assure I agonized about that last paragraph. If we haven't planned well on our way to 7 billion, how are we going to plan any better for the crossing of 10 billion?

Thank you for the comment. We are slowly working on expanding and making this a growth crop for the country. In the coming years once we have established manufacturing and processing facilities in Masindi, we will set up satellite facilities around the country and region.

We are badly in need of supply of seeds so we expect to be expanding very soon.
