Eric Dane, he's fit, tall, blonde, has the deep voice, and is a solid dramatic actor. Other people I think could fit are Viggo Mortensen, Simon Baker and Mark Valley. That's my shortlist. I really hope they don't cast anybody like Paul Walker or Channing Tatum, nothing against those guys I just can't picture either of them leading the Avengers and conveying that stoic out of his time war veteran that is Steve Rogers. Tatum or Walker are going to seem like highschool kids next to RDJ.

I'm excited for this AND the next Apatow production. I don't really think they're that far separated from each other in their sensibilities.

I'd be alright with him too. He looks the part, and I think he's a good actor (see him in 3:10 to Yuma or Meet Bill). If he gets the role hopefully they'll have a good script for him, and I HOPE this time around they try to capture Spider-Man's snarky villain taunting one-liners personality, that was one essential thing that was sorely missing in Raimi's pictures.

While the show is one of my favorite things ever, I won't be buying a ticket to this movie in protest of Paramount's casting practices. America still has a long way to go in promoting racial equality.

I don't care what Kevin Smith did in the past, the trailer for this movie didn't elicit even one chuckle out of me. I don't think I'll be seeing this.
