Dude, this is in Oregon. You think these hippy pothead students would fulfill their duty to protect themselves? They more apt to restrict their own rights and assume someone else is responsibile for thier protection.

Sounds like the frat boys need to do some security at the parties rather than sit around and watch their women get beat up.

Welcome to Democracy. Always be wary when activists call for democracy or cry "Democracy Now!". There is a reason our founders did not design the US gove as a democracy (we are a constitutional republic) and every communist revolution (Soviet, China, N Korea) started out as cries for democracy.
