Culture for All : Will Hillary Defeat Obama?

Maybe you are right, but maybe not... unless you have the ability to tell the future. I disagree with you - especially about Obama being "solud, and very impressive"... and that he is "what America needs". Obama stands for empty and undefined "change" - which includes a suicidal foreign policy. Both democratic candidates this year are disasters on legs.

Just because we are not Muslim doesn't mean that the problems are not ours too - its happening in our country so we have to take on some responsibility for the problems.

What do you think can/should be done about hate-Mosques?

Culture for All : Opposing Sharia law

From the link:
The Archbishop of Canterbury drew criticism from across the political spectrum last night after he backed the introduction of sharia law in Britain and argued that adopting some aspects of it seemed "unavoidable".
--End Quote--

The phrase "inevitable" was the headline, but not a direct quote from the archbishop. For me the problem lies with the fact he said that he did not condemn Sharia law in his speech either, and he said it is unavoidable (aka. no point fighting against it).

Culture for All : The Problem With All Racism, Ethnocentrism, Religious Intolerance, Etc

I strongly believe that there are differences that should be acknowledged.

Muslims, Jews and Christians are all different. Americans and Saudi Arabians. Irish and Germans... they are different.

However they are all humans and they must all be treated equally under the law.

And remembering that we are all humans underlines the point, that we can't just group all of one group together as a "they" because it is unrepresentative of reality.

the constant skeptic : DNA Breakthrough Could Give Humans Lifespans of Hundreds of Years

I think there was a book about this once.

Machines will be used to replace people... and rich people will have very long life-spans.

The surplass population that the rich people don't need (including me) will be left to die out.

I don't remember where I read that though...

Culture for All : Muslimophobia!

They are human beings, and as such they have free will to choose. These choices are anti-humanity.

I agree they are not sub-human in essence, but I believe they are sub humanity in the choices they make.

I love your skepticality meter!

Why would anyone even *want* to live until they are 800 years old?

I think that quality is more important than quantity.
