I'm curious to know who the 'numerous groups' behind this marvelous pseudo-spontaneous event are. I've seen references to MoveOn.org, the 'Washington Community Action Network', and 'Move to Amend'. But no one seems to want to attach their name to this movement. Why is that? If they're so proud of it, why not own it?

Valerie Jarrett pushed the Solyndra deal. When Solyndra tried for an IPO to bail themselves out, Jarrett arranged for Obama to visit them to pump up interest. Didn't work, but Martha Stewart got a nice ankle bracelet for a similar stunt. Valerie Jarrett should be mentioned any time you mention Solyndra. Put the spotlight on her!

Dairy food safety laws -- including the pasteurization, handling and sale of milk -- were developed in the good old days when the industry had as much of a say in the laws as the desk-jockey career bureaucrats. In fact more so. Used to be to get a job working as a dairy sanitation inspector, you HAD to have dairy farming or industry experience. Dairy laws protect not only the consumer, but farmers and processors as well. No one wants to kill people with their products if its preventable. Tuberculosis used to be spread by milk, and all other manner of diseases. Plus, before regulation, milk used to be adulterated -- thinned with water or even other things that could affect people's health.
