It's shameful how many citizens choose to deny American exceptionalism, but it is truly inspiring when we see immigrants embrace it. I was so happy for him when he became a citizen and showed his pride in achieving it -if only the masses of entitled 'undocumented' immigrants would be held to the same standard.

Well timed, and themed post. The world has this view of us that we take everything we have here in the USA for granted. On the contrary, I believe we truly appreciate it because we've earned it. Through hard work, innovation, and discipline to our principles. That is why when the chips are down, anywhere, we step up. I am comforted with the knowledge that we are the most charitable, and generous nation this world has ever seen. Never has any nation done so much, for so many, and asked for so little in return.
