If the US government would for one instant put the interests of the U.S. ahead of the interests of israel in dealing with Iran, the whole nature of the U.S./Iranian relationship would change overnight for the better. This won't happen so long as israel's partisans in AIPAC, Congress, the media, and the christian fundaMENTAList movement continue to shape US foreign policy towards the middle east.
