OK Eric, let's compare what people in the south, in the 60's, had to endure. New Orleans-1967. 2 kids, one 15 the other about 13, waiting for a public service bus after school. A packed bus pulls up and empties. I didn't see the 1st punch, but it put me to the ground. People were pushing to get THEIR kicks in. Not sure what happened to the other kid. The bus pull away while the beating was in full swing. I am white. The 13 yr. old is black. The thugs from the bus are black. The police that I talked to 40 minutes later are black. Even though I recognized some ot my attackers as students from another school that I regularly rode the bus with, no one was questioned, no one arrested.
