In the beginning. The Taliban gave quarter to Al Qaeda and defended OBL after 9-11. The foriegn fighters from Pakistan, Chechneya and the middle east are the enemy. Few ot the Afghans are. If OBL had been in Yemen, Somolian or the Sudan after 9-11 we'd be there too. We do not want to rule the world. Al Qaeda appears they do. Yes America is hemoraging in debt. If you look at the budget unfunded mandates are the problem, not the military. At least the military is productive, as I am. I work for a living and do not expect to see a dime from the money I contribute to those who do not work.

Shortly have 9/11 SF's flown in teams of 12 by the 160th worked with the northern alliance and toppled the taliban and foriegn Al Qaeda forces by riding horse and painting targets with lasers for F-18, B-52's and AC 130's. within three months the Taliban and Al Qaeda forces where defeated. England and Russia learned the hard way how not to fight in Afganistan. America appears to be losing momentum. But the SF method works, so long as you appear to be providing security and not as a conquering occupying army. Believe me, the locals by probably 90% plus have no desire to live under shari law, especially the women. They don't particulary trust the current Gov. either of Afganistan that is corrupt. But compared to the Taliban? There really is no comparison.

Before this accident, and so far as the facts we know, it is an accident, BP was one of the more friendly environmental energy companies around. They gave tons of cash to the amazing President that knows Wall Street, Car Companies, Insurance companies, medicine (but doesn't know we only have 50 states). I understand many companies in Wall Street, like GS donate big time to Democrats. Some are scared of them and look at it as a bribe. Others are your typical limousine liberals. What BP should learn from this, other then figuring out how the explosion happened and how to prevent it, is this administration is not their friend. This administration will throw anybody under a bus unless your a Muslim Terrorist, or other enemy of the United States. I never thought I'd hear a Presidential Press Secratary refer to a Company during a crisis when they should be team members "we'll keep our boot on BP's throat." As usual rather then solving problems the liberal mind set is to create villians. Gibbs should look in the mirror, he'll see a villian for sure.
