Greg Atkinson : Guest Post by Clayton Coates: Flat Screen Pastor: Conviction or Convenience?

I felt much the same way before I heard Craig Groeschel speak a couple of years ago at the Willow Creek Summit. Honestly, however, I felt like most of these pastors were coming from a very self-aggrandizing bent. After hearing Craig speak, my opinion of them definitely softened. That's just simply my background on the issue... My two questions for Clayton on the topic would be: A) would you differentiate between a preacher/teacher and pastor? (I think that there are many great pastors with the heart of a shepherd that can't preach their way out of a paper bag and many great preachers who can't empathize to save their life.) B) how would you compare the internet feed and internet campus to the multi-site environment?

I would use them to generate web traffic and hopefully get some writing work 'cause I need a few more $ each month. Also, I don't want to feel like an outsider at my next conference... speaking of... iPhone giveaway??

ChurchCrunch : Leadership: Ministry's Greatest Need for Web

John, Are you suggesting that 1) each organization needs it's own leader or that 2) as a culture we need a digital John Maxwell to provide guidance and wisdom (with a new book on the subject every 6 months - j/k)

mattknisely.com : The Business Card Not Dead?

I think that it's an issue of branding. What's more memorable "Hi, I'm Ryan" or "ryanbrymer.com". If I maintain my branding across media outlets a card helps me merge the digital world into the physical. There's a part of me that think it is a bit vain, but when you're meeting tons of people it's good to be able to differentiate yourself. By the way, it's been good following you on twiiter.

ChurchCrunch : Diversification Equals Mediocrity

Diversification is oh so tempting. I think that you have to find a balance between diversifying and targeting. There is nothing wrong with using multiple methods to reach multiple target markets. However, diversifying with the same purpose/goal in each iteration is a recipe for failure.

ChurchCrunch : Giveaway: Adobe Creative Suite 3 Web Premium for Mac

Ryan Brymer - I am on staff at my church and an aspiring designer. I currently operate 1 site http://ryanbrymer.com and I am looking to start 2 more in the near future. I have been looking for a full time job since September. Most of the jobs that I find that seem like a good fit expect applicants to be proficient in these programs, but I am a beginner at best. So, I don't want to overstate things, but this package could help me get a job and provide for my family.
