Just speaking for myself, the faster a page loads, the more likely I'll peruse the entire page. Also, some may have a certain subject on their mind-not necessarily the latest post. I'm no expert, and I'm not suggesting excerpts, but it would allow for a wider variety of content on one page. Just speaking for myself.
