One thing to keep in mind states like Alaska, Wyoming, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas are big energy states they receive millions in royalties. States with extensive Federal land or State lands really rake in the royalty bucks. Those states have much bigger budgets to work with. Oregon used to do better with timber receipts but those days are gone.

I do agree with you that higher ed has been given the shaft from the Oregon legislature for years.

Something we might want institute at Reser is sending a text message to security when the fans get rowdy. The folks to the south have that and it might be a good experiment at Reser.
