Conservative anger over welfare is because these people are leaches on the economy. I heard it best said that welfare is a "short circuit" in the economy. That is because they do not create anything. I perform a service where I work to earn my pay, others may create a product for their pay. But in the end whether performing service or creating a product, wealth is created by doing something for your fellow mankind. When a welfare recipient receives their check it is an automatic net loss for the economy because they did not contribute to society in any way.
