Film School Rejects : Sneak Peek: Battlestar Galactica: The Plan

I doubt it will be a double dip (as in, they won't be re-releasing the complete series). However, the timing is wrong and this will have to be released separately.

Film School Rejects : Michael Bay Says 'Haters Beware,' Promises More Robots

So... didn't he just say that there are a lot of new robots in this movie? And that's still not good enough? Personally, I think there has always been a road map for this franchise -- first film plays it safe, tells a human perspective story and introduces us to the Transformers (gotta get John Q. Mainstream Moviegoer if you want to pay for those effects). Second film rolls into a more robot-centric story. This is fine by me, and what I'm expecting from the second one.

Film School Rejects : Turned On, Tuned In: Seven Deadly Sins

ACK!! Our great and wonderful plan to be more like Spike TV has been exposed! How could you?! Anyway, sorry that you aren't hip to Bethany's column. However, in the defense of both this author and myself (as head decisionmakerguy), the quality of writing that you are seeing her from Ms. Perryman is head and shoulders above the schlock you might see over on Spike's site. Its insulting to think that you couldn't come up with something better than that... You're better than that, man. Also, I agree. That shit's for morons. This shit however, is not.

Film School Rejects : Discuss: What Did You Think of Terminator Salvation?

Here's the problem: "popcorn flicks" are supposed to also be fun, exciting, visually stunning. This film is none of the above. As someone who derives much joy from watching things blow up on screen, I can say with certainty that this film was not fun. It was just a series of action sequences (framed with mediocre camera work) that was strung together with minimal character work. I've never seen a film with a more bland and boring set of action sequences. Big time disappointment.

Film School Rejects : Spielberg's Dream of Martin Luther King Jr Biopic Finally Comes True

Is Malcolm Jamal Warner still around? Always thought he looked like Dr. King a bit... But in all seriousness, this is where I would cast an unknown. It worked perfectly for Notorious with Jamal Woolard. Casting someone like Jamie Foxx really takes away from the story you're trying to tell.

Film School Rejects : First 'Sherlock Holmes' Trailer is a Bit of Brilliant

This trailer looks like fun, but there's something about the slo-mo action that doesn't feel right. Here's hoping that it is used sparingly in the actual film. Also, not sure if anyone mentioned the lovely Rachel McAdams and her steamy costume selection. That is a win, friends. ;)

Hey there sir, Complaint noted. We'll see what we can do. Its a tough balance -- trying to keep the user experience at its best while also making enough cheddar to keep the lights on -- you'd be surprised how much light bulbs cost these days ;)
