Ban the EPA for starters. Lower corporate and state gasoline taxes. Open up large blocks of (cough, cough) "federal" land for energy exploration and exploitation. Life the moratoriums on oil drilling - including in ANWR. Make it easier to build an oil refinery. Make it more cost effective to build a nuclear power plant. Stop inflating prices with loose monetary policy (jackass Fed). Ban CAFE emissions standards. End all subsidies for ethanol and "green" (aka non-market competitive) technologies. Kill all hope of cap-and-tax. Privatize shares of GM and let them go bankrupt. Who cares except the unions? People will buy smarter smaller cars if the price pressures are there. Let the market handle alternative energy develop naturally and incrementally according to price pressures and the theory of alternative good competitiveness.

America-loving conservatives are desperate to get behind someone bright, articulate, and principled. We see the way the left is trying to turn the United States into a centrally planned state and economy, and yet another failed experiment in the history of mankind. The Founding Fathers weren't infallible - they didn't claim to be, and they sure didn't believe future generations would be. Their intention was to found a country where fallible people could not rise to power and inflict their personal prejudices and biases on an entire nation. This is the purpose behind limited government: to escape the arbitrary tyrannies of the past. And what does the left push for? More arbitrary authority, more coercive power and control over everyone else's lives. What is enlightened about this approach? Marco Rubio knows from experience what happens when the revolutionary left comes to power; while we don't have Castroites in the American government, we do have a cadre of self-imagined masterminds looking to remake the country as they see fit. America doesn't need that to meet its challenges. It needs serious, determined, principled leadership to pass legislation that benefits America, and works within appropriate governmental limits as defined by The Constitution. The vision of Utopia is persistently stubborn in the minds of the left, even as a century of unrelenting progressive policy is starting to leave the nation in smoldering ruins. Every Democrat-run city is a nightmare. Every Democrat-run state is bankrupt and bleeding massive debts. It is not sustainable, liberals. Look at Greece, Spain, Portugal, Ireland, Iceland, all the way down the line. The developing world is running towards market capitalism and away from socialism. Ascending nations are criticizing our weak-dollar policies, and threatening to dump the dollar. While it is true we are overextending our military, we have a moral right to a strong and vigorous national defense against determined enemies who mean us harm. Please, put down all the fancy existentialist and post-structuralist and neo-marxist literature, and start trying to see reason before it's too late.

OMG, I TOTALLY relate to this girl! When I first went to college I requested international students as roommates, and then got a Japanese guy in my room. STINKY! The dude was eating week-old eels with seaweed, which smelled exactly like his socks, by the way. Then I roomed with a Mexicano, and that kid was pretty cool. I would hang out with him and his buds sometimes at their little fiestas, and some of those slick-haired girls were muy caliente, know what I'm saying? But then I went to grad school, and I know exactly what this chick is saying about the "hordes of Asians" - there were like more Chinese people living around me in the apartments than there were in the human waves in Korea. These people were rude, standoffish with all roundeyes, and chit-chatty, bing-bangy all day. They were all probably, like, nuclear spies or sumtin'.
