pastapadre.com : Prince Fielder Cover Athlete For The BIGS 2

This game definitely looks interesting. Hopefully they'll have some type of season or franchise mode available to add to the game's overall replay value.

pastapadre.com : The BIGS 2 Coming This Summer

Padre, Wow, that is amazing news. I never got a chance to play the first game so The BIGS 2 should be a nice change of pace from The Show '09 and MLB 2K9.

pastapadre.com : MLB 2K9 X-Play Preview

Padre, It was nice to have some more video footage from MLB 2K9. However, I think that gamers would need to get a feel for the game itself before a real determination can be made as to whether MLB 2K9 will be worth it. That is why a demo for this game is so important, especially for MLB fans who only own a 360. As for me, I'm going with The Show '09 and I'm going to wait on more previews, game videos, and even reviews of MLB 2K9 before I make my mind up about MLB 2K9. Right now, as it stands, I'm on the fence.

pastapadre.com : First MLB 2K9 Impressions Out

I know that there was a Fantasy Draft option for Franchise mode in MLB '08: The Show last year so it's fair to say that it will also be an option in MLB '09: The Show for this year's game.

pastapadre.com : Reviewers Get One Right and One Wrong

Hey Padre, I really enjoyed your video Padrecast and I hope that you do these on a regular basis in the future. Of the two games commented on, I'd be more inclined to go with NHL Arcade 3 on 3 over Front Office Manager.

I'm not sure what the best way to show off a game in the pre-release cycle would be. However, I think that people would want to see videos, screenshots, and detailed release information about important features that will be offered in the game.

pastapadre.com : Videos Of New Stadiums In MLB 09 The Show

Padre, Get job posting more content on MLB '09: The Show. The videos capture the feel of each stadium wonderfully and the game looks amazingly detailed and life like. As great as MLB '08: The Show was last year, I think that MLB '09: The Show will be one of the most anticipated titles as well as a potential candidate for Game of the Year. Definitely a must buy, in my opinion.

pastapadre.com : Padrecast: MLB 2K9 Feature List

Padre, Great job again on the podcast. I found it interesting that you personally did not like the Swing Stick method that MLB 2K9 employs. Like you, there's just this great feeling that I get when I time a pitch right and hit a HR via pressing the button. I just don't get that when using the Swing Stick. With the pitching and fielding controls, I usually just revert back to using a conventional method using the face buttons as opposed to utilizing the right and left analog sticks to do it. First, I can't use the sticks in that way because of my poor coordination and reflexes because of my handicap. Secondly, I actually feel that I am in more control using the face button method whenever I play. As to the Topps playing cards, I really don't think that it's an important factor as to why I play MLB 2K. As a PS3 owner, MLB '09: The Show is a must buy for me, but I actually think that MLB 2K9 has a chance to be a decent game this year.

pastapadre.com : #6 of 2008: NBA 2K9

No matter who you ask, whenever NBA 2K9 and NBA Live is mentioned, it's going to start World War III. It's not enough for people to just be thankful that both Take-Two and EA really stepped it up this year and pushed each other to make their respective games the best they can be. I have both and I think that each has its own unique strengths and weaknesses. Anyone who wants to blindly bash either game should take a step back and spend time playing each of them and then make up one's mind. At least then, the person can have an opinion that can be backed up by experience instead of just random bashing or conjecture.
