First, you live in one of the most anti-gun states in america. New Jersey has assinine laws concerning firearms. You might want to contact the NRA legal department if you are a member. There might be some relief but not much. Secondly, I'd move to a state more gun freindly. If you are convicted of the law you have broken, there is pretty much nothing you can do. Chances are if convicted, you'll probably never legally own a firearm again. I know, not much help, this is the price you pay for living in NJ.

I have been writing my state rep's since Mr. Obama took office and have been getting the generic response back. A scripted e-mail telling me everything is alright and basically not to worry. I am worried, I do not like the path this Gov't is taking, and I am concerned where this republic is headed !!!

As a former police officer I am deeply troubled by this incident. First, why should a police officer doing his job be ridiculed. Second, for Mr. Obama to call police officers "Stupid" shows he has zero class. Third, Mr. Gates was arrested because of his attitude and disregard for authority. Lastly, this summit at the white house is nonsense, Mr. Obama should have stayed out of this period, as should Colin Powell !!!
