I've always leaned right, but was cautious about both major parties because they are controlled by the same people. I am a registered Libertarian.

Yea, it IS rigged in that the GOP = DNC. They're all puppets!

Ron Paul will get lots of votes if he runs 3rd party, but it would give Obama the win because it would split the GOP and Independent vote.

If Ron Paul was on the GOP ticket, he'd beat Obama in a landslide.

It only "won't happen" if you maintain that attitude. Don't let the GOP establishment decide who is on the ticket. They work for us, and they will regret it if they ignore the silent majority.

Why are you so threatened by the only person in DC who isn't bought and paid for by someone else? It's actually quite pathetic.

Ron Paul's inspiration was brilliant economist Ludwig von Mises, a Jew who fled Austria to escape the Nazis. only 33% of Americans self-identify as Democrats with another 33% calling themselves Republicans. And don’t kid yourself; none of those folks are going off the reservation unless their team springs Charles Manson from prison to head the ticket with Octo-mom as his VP. Whoever’s name is followed by (D) or (R) respectively is getting their chad punched by the straight-party-line voters.

Which means the next President of the United States will be the one who can get the most members of the last 33% - the independents – to get up off the couch and stand in line in the rain to vote for him. Do you think Romney can do that? Gingrich? When is the last time you even saw a bumper sticker for either one of them? No seriously – those guys are not setting off an epidemic of leg tingles.

A great number, if not a majority, of that independent 33% are conservative on economic and fiscal issues, neutral on social issues, and non-interventionist in foreign affairs and military matters. Does that sound like Newt, Mitt, or Barry? No, but I just described Ron Paul – and that’s why he would wipe the floor with President Obama in the general election. As he says, Freedom Is Popular and we are about to find out how popular in less than a year.

The only man who can beat Obama in 2012 is Ron Paul. RP has been spot on for over three decades about domestic and international policies. Obama/Romney are the same Federal Reserve puppet. Follow the money. Obama/Romney receive their donations from big banks and conglomerates. Ron Paul gets his donations from regular people who are tired of the false left-right paradigm being brought upon America. Oh yea, Ron Paul also receives more donations from active members of the military, veterans, and veteran families than the other candidates COMBINED.

Exactly. The country lost its way with all the nation building after WWII (i.e. Iran in 1953). If we did not meddle in everyone's affairs and install so many dictators, maybe they wouldn't want to attack us. I don't see other Western countries such as Switzerland, Sweden, and Poland being attacked by fanatical Muslims.

I "awoke" a few years ago to reject the false left-right paradigm being forced onto this country. All the major players, such as central banks, media conglomerates, energy, pharma, etc are controlled by the same people. They call the shots. It's not as vague as those Occutard hippies with their anti-capitalist agenda. CRONY capitalism MUST end. The special interests have taken over and caused this left-right infighting. We need true Constitutional Conservatives/Libertarians, not RINOs and progressives.

If Romney or Newt are the nominee, Obama will win. If he doesn't then nothing will change. There's too much infighting and bickering by our Reps. Ron Paul doesn't bs around. He simply tells it like it is, whether you like to hear it or not. Some say his supporters are crazy. I wish he was crazy, then all the stuff he predicted the last 30 years would not have happened. If you want a GOP victory in 2012, abandon the social issues and militarism. After all Ron Paul gets more donations from the troops, vets, and their families than the other candidates combined!

The traditional conservative position has been to be against unjust wars. Ron Paul is not against a war if it is just. He also follows the Constitution to a T, such as a formal declaration by Congress. He also doesn't want to expand our overseas empire because we're broke. If we're going to have another pointless, endless war (i.e. Iran), how will you pay for it? No one ever answers that. We'd be better off with a non-interventionist policy (which is NOT isolationist). Free trade with all nations, and if we need to use our military, it's for defense, not offense.
