I just have to thank Mad_Science for giving me the info on the man's awesome car collection. I'm 16, just bought a 1985 BMW 635csi, and when I needed help Hooniverse was there. Jack's place was awesome, seeing all those old cars, I wanted to take his mint 405gti home. Even though I didn't buy anything (I found an entire parts car for a better price) it was still an awesome place (I will do ungodly things for that Alfa Romeo Montreal). Thanks Hooniverse, and especially thanks to Mad_Science, for this site wouldn't be here without him, and I wouldn't have seen one of the best car collections of my life.

I'm in SoCal actually, I've been looking at some aftermarket performance exhausts that go for 1K. Plus the cat I need from magnaflow which is around 400. Funny thing is I bought it for 2K and know need to buy parts, I've never really worked on a car before, and I'm loving it! I think if I can find used parts it would be better for my wallet definitely, but some parts are much harder to come by.

I turned 16 last month, got my drivers license 1 month ago. Before I could drive and was in high school I've been reading Jalopnik and now Hooniverse. I love these types of blogs and cars. Two days ago i purchased a one owner 1985 BMW 635CSI 5-Speed! It has 167K miles and a broken Odometer. Other than the fact I still need to learn a manual (but am very eager to do so as the manual was my choice) can anyone give me advice on where I can get great info for my car, the catalytic converter will need replacing since its a California car, and it probably needs a new exhaust, any help? That doesn't help I've tried it a million times, it's funny because I successfully ran redsn0w yesterday on this phone but since I restored it and need to run it again it doesn't work.

I'm having trouble with the new redsn0w beta. I'm using an iphone 3g on osx and when I try to run the 4.01 I do as the instructions say and point redsn0w to 4.0 firmware, but my phone gets stuck on waiting for reboot. Any help?

To all: I know i should get something cheap and reliable, but I just have thoughts of 6000 dollar Jaguar XJRs in my mind, knowing fully that I would curse it the day I buy it.

Fellow hooniversians, I have a moral dilemma, with some hope that you all will respond with your opinions. I am 15 and bout to turn 16, my Dad syays I will get a car at the end of 2010. I have a budget of $15,000 half of my money and half of his. So anyone would recommend any car. I'm partial to German, but any car from offroading to low coupes are cool in my book.
