One Bronco Nation Under God (OBNUG) : An open letter to OBNUG readers

I would be interested, except that I am not into basketball anymore... Boise State football is my only vice, and it satisfies... Unrelated, but cool to my life: 1. My wife almost let me name our child Kellen (to be born in April..) seriously. 2. I finally got back the football I bought for my preschool class (me, mostly) and it was signed like 50 times! -notables...Vinny, Ian, Kellen, Jeron, - most of the rest are illegible, except for the numbers... Funny that at least 2 guys signed it twice by accident! Ha ha ha! 3. And yesterday, I found out that one of the little girls in my class has an interesting babysitter who is picking her up and dropping her off this whole week.... Anyone know Andrew Woodruff? Man, he's a big dude! Apparently, he is an awesome babysitter and great with kids... Boise always gets good guys... So, thats my piece of Boise State happiness! I swear its all true, and I would love to show any pics of the football if you guys are interested... I'm still blown away we were so lucky! Peace, and keep up the enthusiasm....
I have to post something...anything. I've been enjoying some of the Bleacher report coverage, but I don't like it when somebody posts a "part one" article and never posts a "part two." Its been more than a few days... We were just spoiled at Obnug...

I don't know for sure, but I'm going to have a hard time forgetting these kids' names, especially after watching their videos and imagining their collective and individual impact on the Broncos. It seems like every year is more exciting and better covered by even the mainstream media. ..Are you basically saying there will be many gray and red shirts?

I'm pretty excited about Boise's recruiting. And now we have another 3-star guy from Cali. Jonathan Brown looks good on film, and most media outlets are calling him a big steal for the Broncos. WOOHOO! Its good to be a Boise State fan. __

I'm really glad Utah whipped Alabama, but it went to the heads of the Mtn. West. Good teams come and go, but comparing BSU's future teams to the best of those of the Mtn. West gives us a good case. If they took just Boise State, they deserve an automatic bid. The competition would be that good. I doubt their conference fares as well in 09, especially as senior-heavy teams revamp across the board... Its up to BSU to prove its salt against our meager competition, once again. And I see us thumping the Mtn. West in the upcoming seasons. One field goal, and we beat TCU by 2...

Anyone else surprised at the double report on Boise's recruiting class on Bleacher report? The author is even more enthusiastic than I am. (And I'm thrilled with the class we have coming in). Have a nice weekend, fellow Bronco fans... and OBNUG....

I actually checked out Murph's turf yesterday. And bleacher report. And its sad. Wouldn't it be nice if we could all pitch in our spousal allowances of $20 per month so Kevan could work 20 hours per week and have a legitimate reason to renig on the blog's demise? 50 people at $20 is $1,000. Sleep on it, sir. I am in.

I'm sad about this. I tried to get onto OBNUG about 20 times on Monday, so when the open letter was posted, my relief was short lived. Thanks, Kevan, for offering us the best Boise State Football blog, and one of the best college football blogs in the country. We were definitely spoiled. I hope you end up taking the off-season to build up your inspiration again. But hey, you have all my respect. For anyone to put out such a quality blog for as long as you kept it up, I hope you get paid for your journalistic skill one day. (if not already). OBNUG is a kick ass blog. Thank you for the laughs and the insight, brother.

One Bronco Nation Under God (OBNUG) : Happy trails, Jeremy Childs; enjoy your NFL riches

I'll be the first to say: I'll take Wilson over Childs anyday. AND.....since I'm sorta bitter at Childs for leaving Bronco nation, I always suspected he had a coke habit, the way he always sniffled and rubbed his nose..... I'm just sayin...

One Bronco Nation Under God (OBNUG) : IJ, Brandstater share backfield, criticism in Shrine game

Ah, the Ian Johnson dilemma. You, know, for a guy that can bench over 400 lbs, Ian deserves some looks. He is definitely gifted strength-wise... But outrunning Oregon State's secondary doesn't impress many in the NFL....And then I can't help but wonder if his stale performance this season was due partly to a line that was better at pass-blocking than run-blocking. I say they ought to give him a chance on the sheer fact that he passed up Faulk and Tomlinson. Sure sounds good, at least.

One Bronco Nation Under God (OBNUG) : Breaking rumor: WR Jeremy Childs going pro

I feel like if Childs goes early, the Broncos got cheated out of 2 years of eligibility. However, I can see why Childs would want to leave, since the national record holder in scoring in his position is coming in this spring. But if he stays, good luck to opposing secondaries.

One Bronco Nation Under God (OBNUG) : Morning paper: Boise State football links 12/31

I too, listened to that broadcast on 670. I was appalled at the lack of intelligence being spewed out by that guy. Even my wife was ripping him apart when he said crap like calling Nevada "Boise State" and his poor analysis. The boring guy (Chris) sitting next to him was better, but still, not a voice you could listen to and stay awake. Geesh! I almost feel bad for ripping on our channel 7 goofballs so much. Dave Tester is AWFUL!

One Bronco Nation Under God (OBNUG) : Oh no. He didn't. Chris O'Neill guilty of word vomit

That's an interesting point you make. I think Chris would have been more accurate to have said we COULD have won the game, not "should" have. The way Boise State missed tackles made it clear TCU were the better, faster athletes, for sure. And of course, if Brotzman made his 38 yarder, we are having a different conversation. So, I wouldn't exactly call him a sore loser, as much as a bewildered loser. That's my opinion, at least. But one of the reasons this a good blog is the careful and timely points that pull us into more of an objective frame of mind. So thank you for helping us NOT be the BSU fans that get on the nerves of less enthusiastic college football fans with too much Kool-aid mouth flapping. :)

Being an ex-Mormon who found Boise State about the same time as I quit church cold-turkey, I hope it is not a coincidence. Joseph Smith, if he was legit, would have been a total Bronco fan... I was glass-looking just the other day, and I saw a huge victory for BSU.

One Bronco Nation Under God (OBNUG) : Game prediction: Boise State 24, TCU 10

Thanks for a good Christmas present. I think it will be 30-14. One of TCU's TDs would be defensive. I look for the Broncos to put up 30, because it is a nice round number (of which BSU is capable), and high enough to make TCU's defense seem a tad overrated. I see 7 or more guys with receptions from Kellen, and Jeremy Avery busting a long TD to Mark May's DISmay. Go BRONCOS!

I look at this news and think, 'Will they act like Oregon fans and say we beat them because their number 2 defensive guy was out.' But then again, We lost Mike T. Williams, so I'd say that makes it about even. The point is, we are going to win with Winn, no doubt with Hout, and.... can't think of anything to rhyme with Winterswyk... Please don't take my poetic license away!
