Administrators that are overeducated, with no classroom experience are at the root of the problem. Shellee is right on.

I live in a rural area, with 40%+ low income students. The teachers are substandard and the schools teach to the lowest common denominator ( the NOT smartest kids ). There is no real challenge for excellence. It is sad and discouraging to see our little town waste away. Businesses don't move to places with NOT smart populations.

School administration used to be comprised of excellent teachers that knew how to run a classroom. The administration "Czars" now have to have a MBA or PhD, to be hired now. Hmmm.

Obama is all Talkie, no Do-ie. I thought the "Prize" was for those people that have done something. It has to be their attempt at a dis to former Pres. Bush, and his stances against all the UN nonsense.
