i believe allardyce will play a rip roaring all our attack minded team with 2 wide men and 2 strikers ,playing free flowing passing football...................oops damn my afternoon nap dreams,i reckon the usual 4-5-1 and hope noble gets a penalty
i think zola should be kept on by our new owners even though they dont like him or his style of football,if they dont we may get someone like avram grant who apart from having the get up and go of a corpse ,knows nothing about football.we may even get a big fat south african has been and pay him a fortune then at christmas time go all out for a new manager through the press .he says no so we may even keep the rubbish manager till the end of the season, most probably we will get relegated ,our learned owners will put the blame firmly on him fogetting the fact that they stood by him when the other manager turned us down.god forbid we go down and employ a dinosaur with a big thing for a 4-5-1 even though we have about 6 strikers.he gets us promoted and we buy an unknown south american who turns out to be pretty damn good but there was something wrong with the details so we are fined bundles and still go down.nah this will never happen
shropshire ive got to say that i rarely watch england internationals and when i do i find myself very bored,i too share your apathy and cannot ever get excited pre tournaments because its so obvious what will happen.we will scrape through and go out to the first decent team we meet which goes back to my point that i dont think the players are any good
hello tony mate, hows the band going,i agree about john terry, also i dont think he merits a place in the team,re capello i was not unhappy when he got the job he at club level was fantastic, his trouble i believe was too many egos to contend with ,he has bought a few younger players to the squad and realised scott parkers worth, its tough with terry because as much as i despise him as a person the innocent until proven guilty arguemant has some validity.on the other hand his presence either as captain or squad member will surely cause divisions.good luck to the new manager
im not sure what everyone thinks about the capello situation.when he took over and greeted the players by their surname as opposed to this gangsta rap jt and stevie g tosh i thought a disclipine that had been missing would be born.the first few games we looked pretty good .passed the ball well etc etc.then reality set in.is it just me that thinks our so called stars are infact pretty average on the world stage and as a nation we have always expected far too much.it strikes me that whoever manages england in whatever formation he chooses the fact of the matter is the players are just not good enough.the last england team i enjoyed was the euro 96 side.its hard to find a decent let alone good english manager.redknapp is the obvious choice but how long would he get before everyone wanted him out because the results were poor.since 66 we have looked for an answer as to why we continually fail.answers on a postcard please
if there is a god lofty may he grant this wish
gotta admit lofty .although i disagreed with the sentiment i saw nothing wrong with the post.
a big so what, considering what is going on in the football world at the moment
andy i see yhour point and agree with a lot of it but dont you think it would be better to blood the kids in the championship to give them a little experience.
