@Ben: Thanks for raising those points. I believe that saving the Earth is a lifestyle that goes beyond merely switching off lights for an hour. But I also think that the exercise of going without lights for an hour is a step in itself toward a no-impact lifestyle. If one can do that, surely one can try to forgo the newspaper subscription (maybe just get the Sunday edition?), take the public transport more than once a week and leave the car home, or take the elevator (good exercise!). It's a conscious decision, and it may not be easy for some, but as they, baby steps. Right?

@Paolo! Thanks for dropping by (and for the hospital visit!). I totally agree with you. In art, the most important thing isn't whether other people like it--in the end, it's really the artist's fulfillment. I was just reading this Inquirer story on National Artist Arturo Luz yesterday and it was mentioned that he never gave interviews because he didn't want to explain his work. I'm sure though that whether or not people understood his output, he derived much fulfillment from it. Do drop by again, and don't forget to add your photos to the Pinoycentric Flickr community!
