TechCrunch : Why I’m Craigslisting My iPads

iPad is a nice, single function 1.0 version. You are paying more for the logo than any other component that makes up the device. I. too, am holding out for the HP/WebOS slate, that Apple fanboys will secretly envy, but publicly slam.

TechCrunch : You Are Not Your F*cking Khakis (But You May Be Your Phone)

There's just no logic to fanyboys of the Apple or Android variety, none. They both rave about getting features that have been on the Palm/WebOS platform for over a year. They are both hiring away the UE/UI gurus from Palm so they can incorporate WebOS features. Maybe, and that's a big maybe, I'll consider Android in about a years time when its clunky UI has gone through a couple more iterations of updates.

Is Obama going to boycott the new solar plant because it's in Arizona? What will the hiring plan look like? Will the workers be unionized illegal immigrants? Let's all ponder the myriad ways the US government can screw this up.

Delta Wing is a hideous, pathetic design concept. If Indy selects Delta Wing, it's bub-bye for me. I can live with the politics, bullshit and lack of true racing in F1. At least the cars are cool.

TechCrunch : Android Team "Laser Focused" On The User Experience For Next Release

If android approaches the UE/UI that WebOS currently has, I'll consider moving platforms. Otherwise, keep trying. WebOS still the best UE in mobile/smartphone space. IOS4 getting closer but still not quite there.

TechCrunch : What's Missing From iPhone 4 Is Part Of What Makes It Great

That's interesting, the features you mention most coveted and soon to be delivered on the new IPhone 4 (robust easy-to-use cut/paste, true multitasking, over the air updates..) have all been available on WebOS/Palm Pre for over a year. Too bad Palm badly botched the initial release and marketing message. Oh, and did I mention the Pre/Sprint combo can make and keep an actual phone call? Still can't do that with the iPOS!

Breitbart.com : Oil tax increase would help pay to clean up spills

Idiocy begets idiocy. So just who actually pays business tax increases? We all do. Any idiot knows that companies that are subject to tax increases simply raise prices to cover the cost of the tax. Most idiot voters don't realize this simple and pervasive FACT. Liberal Democrat politicians love to vilify large corporations by passing these kinds of tax increases. People, please don't be duped. You will pay at the pump. Don't be so stupid as to continue to elect these idiots.

TechCrunch : Foursquare Warns Its Competitors: "We're Running Like A Well-Oiled Machine"

Facebook jumping into the geo-loc check-in space just validates what Foursquare and others are doing. This will accelerate growth and help all players a la 'a rising tide lifts all boats'. Foursquare's main challenge will be to keep the momentum by innovating, monetizing, and keeping focus and lead. FB is following 4sq's lead. I'll never use FB to check in. They own too much of my info already and I don't trust them. 4sq is cool and already delivering value, plus it's fun.
