Alcoholism is far from a disease. These people have the option of not getting behind the wheel of a car after saucing themselves at the local pub. These people also have the option of choosing not to put the rim of a filled glass of alcohol to their lips and drinking. These people do not have a disease. And do you really think Jesus is going to help these people? What has Jesus done for anyone lately...if ever? Jesus can't save anyone, God can't save anyone. In order for one to be saved, they must save themselves. Why don't you put down the Bible (which is a work of fiction) for one minute, take a look around and realize that people are in charge of their own lives. Not Jesus, not God, not a book that can be found freely in the sleaziest of places...but YOU! Honestly, Jesus has done nothing for anyone lately...if ever...and he's not going to stop the thousands of idiots that drink and drive every day. And if you say that it takes something like this for people to "come to Jesus" then you're as sad as all of them.

If he was marked as absent there wouldn't really be any need to monitor him in the bus area, would there? And it sounds as though he regularly took the bus if his parents were waiting for him to get off of it. Obviously he disappeared shortly after his stepmother saw him walking towards his classroom which would suggest that someone inside the school...possibly his birth mother...was waiting for him and took him.

It is sad that, even today in 2010, schools aren't as safe as they should be. Is there anyone that can be trusted to completely ensure the safety of other people's children? I hope he is found soon and is found unharmed.

So, if I Google some directions right now, walk them and get hit by a car, bitten by a dog, harassed by bigots, mistaken for someone else and beaten up, or any number of random acts of what-have-you, I can just sue Google? Is this woman serious? I'd like to know where she works and how much debt she has because in most cases such as this, people only sue to make money that they don't have. Sure...I can understand her being upset about being injured by an automobile, but really, lady...REALLY? Is the money going to afford you some common sense as to not walk where you don't think it's safe?

I guess I'm going to walk around SE Portland in the middle of the night with cash hanging out of my pocket and then sue the city when I get robbed (not really).

This sounds like a nice idea and all, but I seriously doubt anyone in Portland is going to drop loose change into a meter after being hit up by a dozen "homeless" people on every corner downtown asking for a handout. Not to mention the number of people that don't even pay to park their cars on the street. Again...nice idea and in a perfect world would go over quite well, but not here...not not...probably not any time soon. Sorry...just being honest.
